Student

Andrew Arredondo
Senior at St. Genevieve's High School

A senior at St. Genevieve’s High School, Andrew Arredondo has been a recipient of CEF tuition assistance awards for all 4 years attending his beloved school.

Andrew Arredondo was recently awarded with a Hispanic Recognition Award. He is one of 5,000 outstanding Hispanic students for 2012 with a GPA of 4.67 and having made the honor roll each semester since his freshman year.

Andrew states that it was not easy balancing academics, sports and a social life; however the hard work has paid off; especially knowing how proud his parents are. He also adds that it is their extreme work to provide him with an opportunity they did not have that inspires him.

His years at St. Gen’s have been filled sports including football, soccer and baseball. He’s hoping to major in mechanical engineering and currently applying at both USC & UCLA as well as a few east coast schools, having had the opportunity to attend football banquet at Harvard this summer.

“I spend most of my time with my family and friends. I regularly visit my brother who attends USC and is majoring in BioScience and my sister who is studying Psychology at UCLA.”
