Our Schools
PreK and Elementary Schools:
The CEF provides tuition assistance to students in 142 elementary schools that serve a financially challenged population. Proportionally, CEF provides a greater number of tuition awards to 50 schools that are serving the poorest populations, primarily in the inner-city areas of the three-county Archdiocese. In 2007 CEF added awards to Pre-K students to encourage enrollment; studies indicate students who have attended Pre-K are better prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
Secondary Schools:
There are 49 high schools in the Archdiocese, including 24 private schools run by religious orders. In total, CEF provides tuition awards to students at 33 high schools.
